Grinder Mount FAQ's

What grinders are compatible?

We designed Grinder Mount for 4 1/2" angle grinders. It fits most corded and many cordless that have a trigger lock. Either we or our customers have used grinders from Bauer, Hercules (Harbor Freight), Milwaukee, DeWalt, Bosch, Mikita, Ridgid, Craftsman, and many others. We use the handle holes to mount the angle grinder and have adapted the mounts to fit the most common thread sizes and angles.

In general the only grinders that we don't recommend are those that have a paddle switch with no trigger lock like the Milwaukee Fuel cordless. Our favorites surprised us - and are two of the least expensive: Bauer 7 Amp and the Hercules 11 Amp.

Which one should I choose, the Weekender or Tradesman?

Both! But if you must really choose, it simply comes down to how you use your angle grinder. If you have a fabrication shop, use high Amp rated (>8 Amp) angle grinders or simply will mount and use this every day, we recommend the Tradesman. It's made of 3/16" steel and is virtually indestructible in the harshest conditions. The Weekender is also incredibly durable and made from high impact plastic. Ultimately, if you have hair on your chest, drive a truck and eat red meat, just make a decision already - you can't go wrong.

Do you recommend a peddle switch? Which one?

If you have your corded angle grinder mounted and just want to kick a peddle to turn it on or off, a peddle switch is awesome. We don't have a recommendation - hit up Amazon and choose one based on the Amp rating of your angle grinder.

What discs do you recommend?

We recommend any good quality flap disc. We don't recommend using cut off wheels.

What if I lose or break a part?

We back what we sell. We will replace at no cost any broken or missing part.
